Reunion at Kyoto Station Square
In March Comes In Like a Lion 2nd Season, Episode 9, protagonist Rei Kiriyama arrives by train at a major city station after a shogi tournament in Tokyo. He exits the ticket gate into a spacious station square bustling with people, with a tall tower-like building (with an observation deck) in the distance. Rei unexpectedly meets Hikata Kawamoto in the square; they exchange brief greetings and then head toward a nearby bus stop. The station is modern in design, with glass curtain walls and steel frames, and the square features a bronze statue and a fountain. It is a winter evening, with the sky dimming and streetlights and shop lights gradually turning on.
