In *The Quintessential Quintuplets*, early in the story on a rainy day, Fūtarō Uesugi meets Itsuki Nakano at the entrance of a large commercial facility. Fūtarō holds a transparent umbrella while Itsuki is caught in the sudden rain. The glass curtain wall and revolving doors of the mall are visible in the background. After a brief exchange, they decide to enter the mall together to take shelter.
