Kanna's fortune-telling at the shrine
In *Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid*, Kanna wears a yukata and visits a shrine alone to pray for Tohru, who is ill. She bows and prays in front of the main hall, then draws an omikuji (fortune slip) at the side, which seems unlucky and makes her more worried. An elderly woman at the shrine speaks to her and offers comfort. The scene features typical shrine elements such as a torii gate, temizuya (water pavilion), and a rack of ema (votive tablets).
