In *Girlish Number*, the protagonist Chitose and her colleagues visit an unfamiliar city for work. They stroll through a historic shopping street and stop in front of a traditional shop with a sign reading "Fujiya." The noren curtain sways gently in the breeze, and the aroma of food drifts out.
