Cherry blossom slope at the school gate
In K-ON!, the first episode opens with the protagonist Yui Hirasawa, carrying her school bag, wearing a dark blue sailor uniform, standing in front of the school gate on a gentle slope. Cherry blossoms flutter around her as she thinks, "Finally, it's time for a new high school life." Behind her is a brown brick school building with arched windows and doors.
