In *Flying Witch*, protagonist Makoto Kowata moves from the city to the countryside and first steps into this traditional Japanese house with a garden. The entrance has a wooden porch, the garden grows apple trees and flowers, and a wooden sign with the family name hangs by the house. Here she begins her daily life with her black cat and cousins.
