In *Flying Witch*, at the beginning of the first episode, the protagonist Makoto Kowata steps off a bus at a rural bus stop. The stop has a wooden sign, a bench, and is surrounded by fields and distant mountains. She carries a suitcase, and a black cat (or dog) sits quietly nearby.
