Hirosaki Castle Otemon Gate
In *Flying Witch*, Makoto Kowata and her companions arrive at the main gate of an old castle. The gate is topped with a heavy wooden hip-and-gable roof, flanked by sturdy stone walls and earthen ramparts. The ground in front is paved with stone slabs, and cherry trees are in full bloom around them. Makoto, her younger sister Chinatsu, and the black cat stop here—one of the everyday scenes in their life.
