In "GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There!" Episode 1, the JSDF convoy rides down a broad avenue. On one side stands a stately classical European-style building, adorned with large pilasters and reliefs, with a blue-and-white flag fluttering atop its tower. This is one of the key landmarks where the JSDF assembles after the Gate appears, linking the real world to the otherworld.
