The stage of Suehirotei
In *Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū*, Yotarō steps onto the wooden stage of this traditional rakugo theater. The audience is packed closely, light filtering through side windows. He wears a kimono, holding a fan and a hand towel, beginning his story. Behind him are a faded red curtain and a plaque reading 'Rakugo'. The air is thick with the scent of tatami and old wood.
