Starting Point in the Trumpet Practice Room
In the beginning of the first episode of *Sound! Euphonium*, the transferred student Kumiko Oumae is drawn by the sound of a trumpet. She follows it to a music room and sees a senior student practicing intently. Kumiko opens the door, and their eyes meet. Music stands sit on the windowsill, sunlight pours onto the wooden floor, and the air is filled with the anticipation of a new school year.
