Riverside Path
In "Sound! Euphonium", at the beginning of the first episode, the protagonist Kumiko Oumae walks alone on a riverside footpath. One side has metal railings overlooking a wide river with distant mountains and city buildings; the other side has rows of trees. With her school bag on her back, she walks leisurely as her inner monologue expresses uncertainty about the future. This path reappears throughout the series as a route she and her club members take to and from school and club activities.
