In front of the nursery school
In *Shiori to Shimiko*, the two protagonists often pass by a small nursery school on their way home from school. In the scene, children in sun hats are playing on the slide and in the sandbox, colorful plastic pinwheels are attached to the fence, and cartoon animal stickers decorate the entrance of the tin-roofed building. Shiori and Shimiko sometimes pause, gazing at the swings inside, seemingly lost in memories of their own childhood.
