Chichibu Red Cliff
In *Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day*, Jinta carries Menma to a red cliff face, which was their secret base as children. Menma leaves a note with her wish at the base of the cliff, then gradually vanishes as everyone watches through tears. The vivid red rock against the lush green surroundings creates one of the most poignant farewell scenes in anime.
